Apollo After School is a national curriculum-based enrichment and childcare program. We offer parents before-school and after-school childcare 5 days a week, with a focus on Social-Emotional Learning and Project-Based Learning. We are looking for caring, patient, and enthusiastic childcare professionals to provide a safe, fun, and friendly classroom experience for our students at local PK-8 schools. Our staff is expected to apply their own unique creativity as educators within the framework of our research-based extended-day curriculum. Education is a team effort – our staff must work closely with fellow colleagues, parents, and school personnel to provide a positive learning environment for our students.
Key Responsibilities:- Program Implementation: Implement our extended-day program at your site, ensuring a high-quality learning environment and managing activities that extend the school day.
- Program Operations: Manage daily program operations and logistics, in coordination with Apollo leadership, to ensure the smooth execution of our program.
- Child Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of children enrolled in our program, maintaining a secure and healthy environment.
- Team Management: Supervise all aspects of your site's before and after-school program, including instructors and staff, to ensure a cohesive and effective team.
- Communication and Relationship Building: Build and maintain positive relationships with all participants, parents, school staff, and administration, communicating regularly with students' parents/guardians during pick-up times.
- Record Keeping and Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, attendance, and dismissal data, meeting data entry deadlines and using program data for program improvement and parent communication.
- Problem-Solving: Assess and solve problems associated with the supervision of PK-8 students, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Minimum of two years of experience working with school-age youth, ages 4-10, in a school/after-school setting.
- Minimum 1-year experience in management with at least 5 employees as direct reports.
- Associate's Degree -or- Equivalent Experience.
