Position Summary:

The Lead Custodian is responsible for ensuring a pristine environment across all facilities associated with Route 66 Casino Hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  2. Serve as a role model both within the establishment and in the community.
  3. Foster a positive and respectful atmosphere for guests and colleagues alike.
  4. Demonstrate punctuality and readiness to fulfill job responsibilities.

Essential Duties:

Conduct various cleaning tasks, including:

  • Vacuuming, mopping, and scrubbing floors.
  • Disposing of waste and changing trash bags as necessary.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in restrooms and gaming areas.
  • Cleaning windows, mirrors, walls, and furnishings.

Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for both guests and staff. Promptly report any injuries or hazardous conditions to the supervisor.

Maintain knowledge of cleaning agents and equipment, and report any maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.

Actively contribute to a collaborative work environment by supporting team objectives and assisting coworkers.

Build rapport with guests through meaningful interactions, remembering their preferences and providing exceptional service.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with relevant work experience.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires the ability to perform various physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Work Environment:

The position is primarily indoors, with potential exposure to loud noises and cleaning chemicals.

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license as required.

Successful candidates will also pass a pre-employment alcohol and drug screening.
