Job Summary

This position exists to support the Southwest Higher Education Organization for Telecommunications & technology (SHOT) consortium's efforts to provide instructional technology support for faculty and instructors at its five-member higher education institutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support collaborative instructional technology support activities common to all six (6) Learning Network of Minnesota consortia.
  • Emphasize professional development for faculty and instructors on technologies and techniques that can enhance member institutions' provision of courses and programs provided via technology-enabled systems.
  • Design and deliver training and workshops on use of technologies sufficient to support effective learning activities.
  • Experience with a wide array of technologies commonly used in higher education instruction such as learning management systems, media management tools, web conferencing, Artificial Intelligence tools, and proctoring software.
  • Familiarity with commonly used computer operating systems such as Windows and MacOS and mobile device operating systems.
  • Utilize cloud service suites such as Microsoft Office365 and/or Google Workspace and productivity suites such as Adobe Creative Suites.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education Technology, Instructional Design, Education or a related field and/or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience providing technology support in a workplace environment.
  • Sufficient written and verbal communication skills that support development and maintenance of effective documentation, effective reports and presentations to varied audiences, budget and policy recommendations to leadership.
  • Demonstrated record of ongoing professional development in order that the Consortiums emerging professional development needs can be met.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Education Technology, Instructional Design, Education or a related field and/or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience working in a higher education environment.
  • Experience providing instructional design support services.
  • Experience with supporting efforts to meet ADA compliance needs with instructional activities.
