Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at St. Luke's University Health Network. As a key member of our professional staff, you will provide coordinated occupational therapy to patients of all age groups under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer occupational therapy treatment plans as developed by the OTR.
  • Facilitate patient ROM, strength coordination, use of adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications to enhance functional mobility and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with Therapy Supervisors, Clinical Coordinators, and other healthcare professionals to plan total patient care.
  • Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and changes in condition to physicians and clinical supervisors.
  • Document patient care and outcomes in a timely, accurate, and legible manner, adhering to agency policies and directives.
Requirements
  • Current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • One or two years of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, preferably.
  • Ability to provide consultation, instruct non-professionals, and prepare accurate records and reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to exercise tact and good judgment in dealing with people.
Working Conditions

This role requires the use of your own private vehicle for Network business, with a valid driver's license and evidence of auto liability insurance. You will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent standing, walking, and reaching above the shoulder. Good physical and mental health, as well as neat and clean attire, are essential for this position.
