Medical Assistant

UnityPoint Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
Assist healthcare providers with patient care, including obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and performing minor procedures.
Schedule appointments, referrals, and lab tests, and complete necessary paperwork, including CPT/ICD-10 coding.
Provide patient education and answer questions, and maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient's electronic health record.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Current CME certification for Certified Medical Assistant and AAMA, NCCT, RMA, or NHA certification.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Mandatory Reporter certification.
Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
