The primary responsibility of quality control is to enforce adherence to specified processes and materials, ensure the qualification of personnel and equipment, and conduct systematic measurements to verify compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement corporate safety and environmental programs, or equivalent site-specific initiatives, along with necessary documentation to support these efforts.
- Prepare and submit environmental permits, reports, forms, and surveys as mandated by regulations and company policies in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop tailored EHS programs, policies, procedures, and related training materials.
- Ensure effective and timely distribution of all mandatory safety and environmental training programs for the facility, which may include conducting training sessions.
- Maintain compliance with various governmental record-keeping requirements and company metrics, effectively communicating results to management.
- Facilitate interactions with governmental agencies as needed.
- Manage case coordination for all work-related injuries and illnesses through the implementation of a Return-to-Work Program, communicating outcomes to leadership.
- Assist facilities in achieving various benchmarking standards such as the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), ISO 14001, ISO 18001, and EPA Energy Star.
- Oversee the activities of safety and environmental consultants and external contractors as requested by facility management.
- Perform duties in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations, as well as company policies regarding Quality, Safety, Health, Environment, and Energy.
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety or health, or equivalent experience in safety, health, or environmental sciences.
- A minimum of one year of experience in Environmental Health & Safety within a manufacturing setting.
- Certification as an Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional.
