Nurse Specialist

Aequor Technologies is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Stepdown Unit setting. As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to those who are critically ill but stable enough to leave the intensive care unit.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall condition, promptly identifying and addressing any changes in status.
- Administer medications, including IV drips and infusions, as prescribed by physicians, and perform complex nursing procedures.
- Assist with the transition of patients from the ICU to the PCU/Stepdown unit, ensuring continuity of care and smooth handoff.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education to patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and discharge planning, promoting understanding and compliance.
- Perform regular assessments and document patient information accurately, maintaining up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care.
- Current RN state license in good standing.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Stepdown Unit, or related critical care nursing field.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Strong knowledge of critical care nursing practices, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
