In your role as Chief Operations Officer, you will lead our operational initiatives, guiding the organization towards exceptional success. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, you will manage all facets of manufacturing, field services (including installation, service, and templating), and procurement, ensuring smooth coordination and optimal efficiency throughout the organization. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing strategic direction and collaborating with department leaders to enhance operational performance across manufacturing, field services, and procurement.
- Championing safety initiatives to empower employees to prioritize safety in every aspect of their work.
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lead times and adjusting workflows to meet or exceed established targets.
- Working with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective measures for continuous improvement.
- Conducting regular reviews and audits of quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Developing and executing strategies to synchronize workflow processes, ensuring efficient production stages that meet customer demand.
- Establishing standardized work procedures and visual management systems that support principles of operational excellence.
- Analyzing manufacturing cells to align with the specific needs of customer segments, ensuring timely delivery of customized products.
- Guiding the implementation of tools and processes to drive strategic execution and accountability.
- Fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction throughout the organization.
- Acting as a liaison between operations, sales, finance, and other departments to promote collaboration and alignment.
- Preparing and presenting reports to senior management, highlighting operational performance and strategic insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of eight years of progressive leadership experience in operations management, with at least five years in a senior management capacity.
- A proven track record of successfully implementing operational strategies and driving process enhancements.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, cost management, and financial analysis.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to foresee future trends and challenges.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team building, coaching, and talent development.
- Proficiency in problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Understanding of operational frameworks and principles is preferred but not mandatory.
Work Environment:
The role may involve occasional travel to various company locations or industry events. The work environment will encompass both office and manufacturing settings, requiring the ability to perform physical activities as necessary.
