Senior Supply Chain Coordinator

Position Overview:
The Senior Supply Chain Coordinator plays a vital role in managing and sustaining inventory within the healthcare organization. This position ensures that critical medical supplies and equipment are consistently available to facilitate patient care and operational efficiency. The role also involves training new supply chain personnel on departmental processes and assisting colleagues in identifying and resolving issues. Additionally, the coordinator will oversee projects aimed at enhancing supply chain operations.
Key Qualifications:
Educational Background and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED: Required Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience: Preferred Minimum of two years' experience in supply chain management, inventory oversight, or a related area, ideally within a healthcare environment: PreferredCore Responsibilities:
Receives and evaluates shipments of medical supplies and equipment. Organizes, categorizes, and labels inventory items effectively. Maintains precise records of stock levels and usage. Monitors expiration dates and ensures proper rotation of inventory. Guarantees timely restocking of supply areas for all departments to ensure accessibility to necessary supplies. Conducts regular inventory audits to identify low stock items and initiates reordering as required. Collaborates with department leaders to ascertain their specific inventory needs. Verifies that received items comply with quality and safety standards. Ensures proper storage and labeling of products. Works alongside leadership to address any quality concerns. Maintains comprehensive records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, distributions, and returns. Generates analytical reports to assess inventory levels and usage trends. Assists with data entry into the organization's materials management system. Engages with suppliers to place orders, monitor deliveries, and resolve any issues. Collaborates with the emergency preparedness team to guarantee the availability of essential supplies during crises. Maintains a reserve stock of critical items for unforeseen circumstances. Ensures adherence to all relevant regulations and standards, including infection control protocols. Implements safety measures for handling, storing, and distributing hazardous materials. Supports product recall processes to ensure patient safety. Educates hospital staff on effective inventory management practices. Remains informed about industry best practices and participates in relevant training opportunities. Trains new supply chain team members on departmental tasks and workflows. Mentors fellow associates and provides assistance in identifying and resolving issues. Manages all project assignments focused on enhancing supply chain processes. Performs additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.Organizational Commitment:
