Key Responsibilities:

Role Summary
- Confirms physician directives, conducts patient evaluations, and formulates treatment plans and objectives.
- Administers therapeutic and diagnostic procedures (such as ECGs, EEGs, Stress Tests, and PFTs) in accordance with established protocols and evaluates patient responses to treatments.
- Provides recommendations to the attending physician regarding patient therapy.
- Facilitates discharge planning and educates patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Records pertinent information (patient evaluations, therapies administered, patient reactions, educational and discharge instructions).
- Utilizes appropriate documentation tools, including log sheets, treatment cards, and electronic records to ensure accurate information tracking.
- Maintains open communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to foster teamwork.
Qualifications
Registered Respiratory Therapist credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
