Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer III to join our team at JSI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, with expertise in ethernet switching, IP routing, VoIP, DNS, and other networking principles.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot complex network issues and serve as a primary escalation point for NOC customers.
Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Lead meetings with NOC customers and ensure quality standards are maintained on tickets.
Develop and train on NOC processes and procedures, and mentor less experienced team members.
Stay up to date with emerging network technologies and trends, and participate in strategic planning and decision-making for customer network initiatives.

Requirements

Expert level knowledge of ethernet switching, IP routing, VoIP, DNS, and other networking principles.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in operating, troubleshooting, or designing Internet Service Provider Networks at an expert level.
Bachelor's degree in computer/management information systems, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent required. Extensive experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Proven ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex network environments, and strong understanding of network protocols, architectures, and security best practices.
Industry relevant certifications at the advanced level (CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE, etc.)
Expert level understanding of multiple ISP broadband access and core technologies (Adtran, Calix, Cambium, Juniper, Cisco, Ciena, Arista, etc).
