Job Title: Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at JSI in Lubbock, Texas. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement network architectures to meet business requirements.
  • Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and resolve outages.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement scalable network solutions.
  • Maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams and configuration details.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for network security and reliability.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in telecommunications at carrier scale working with layer2/3 routers and switches, and data services for broadband subscribers.
  • High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4 years of experience in telecommunications service provider core and edge networks.
  • 4 years of experience implementing services using command-line interface in network equipment.
