Job Title: Store Driver

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Store Driver to join our team at Advance Auto Parts. As a Store Driver, you will be responsible for delivering parts to our commercial customers and assisting with inventory processes in the store.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Safely Deliver Parts: Ensure timely and safe delivery of parts to our commercial customers.
  • Pick and Stage Parts: Select and stage parts for customer orders, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Pick Up Returns and Cores: Collect returns and cores from customers, maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Drop Off Weekly/Monthly Sales Flyer: Distribute sales flyers to customers, promoting our products and services.
  • Daily Collection of Credit Accounts: Gather credit account information from customers, facilitating smooth transactions.
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Store Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.
  • General Stocking: Assist with stocking and inventory management, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
Success Factors:
  • Basic Driving and Navigation: Possess a valid driver's license and demonstrate basic driving and navigation skills.
  • Delivery Board System: Utilize the delivery board system to efficiently manage customer orders and deliveries.
  • Friendly Communication: Develop strong relationships with customers, peers, and management through effective communication.
  • Ability to Locate and Stock Parts: Accurately locate and stock parts, ensuring efficient processing and customer satisfaction.
  • Safety Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrate a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Operating Inventory Systems: Effectively operate inventory systems, including back stock and store equipment.
Essential Job Skills:
  • Effective Communication: Develop strong relationships with customers, peers, and management through effective communication.
  • Reading and Interpretation: Read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic Math Skills: Accurately perform basic math operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Prior Experience:

Automotive parts experience is preferred, but not required. We are committed to providing training and support to ensure your success in this role.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and be fleet safety certified.
Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role include:

  • Walking and Standing: Spend most of the day walking or standing.
  • Talking and Hearing: Engage in conversations and hear instructions.
  • Handling and Fingering: Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects.
  • Reaching and Climbing: Reach with hands and arms and climb or balance.
  • Lifting and Moving: Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Work Environment:

The work environment is typically indoors, but may occasionally require working outside in various weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate.
