Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at Building Automation Products, Inc. (BAPI). As a key member of our Engineering Team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative products that exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop embedded hardware systems, including technical analysis of product requirements, recommendation of design alternatives, and functional specifications.
  • Develop and implement design changes based on engineering change orders, and source materials and components meeting design specifications.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Technicians to understand workflow, design process, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Test, verify, and validate designs, and provide on-going support to Production and design changes as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (ABET Accredited).
  • Specific training in analog and digital circuitry, firmware design, and embedded systems.
  • Experience with handling multiple projects simultaneously in various stages of completion.
  • Knowledge of and ability to learn various programming languages.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • Experience with wireless technology, HVAC/R industry, and regulatory compliance testing.
  • Technical writing and component evaluation skills.
