Assembly Operations Technician

Job Summary:
The Production Technician role at Building Automation Products, Inc. is a dynamic position that requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, and effective communication skills. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling products to specification using engineering prints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and direction from Cell/Line Leaders to execute tasks efficiently.
- Utilize the appropriate tools for each job and consult relevant documentation, including BOMs and on-line prints, to ensure accuracy.
- Solder, strip, and crimp wires, as well as apply waterproofing materials and calibrate products as directed.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals and participate in monthly inventory activities.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments by attending educational workshops or classes and reviewing relevant publications.
Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Technical certificate and 1-2 years of related experience, or 3-5 years of relatable experience (preferred).
Skills and Knowledge:
- Understanding of basic electronics.
- Experience in soldering small parts.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
This role requires working in a temperature-controlled environment with regular full-time hours, no holidays or weekends, and light assembly duties.
