Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a versatile healthcare professional who collaborates with other medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver comprehensive patient care.
  2. Administer medical services to patients within the scope of practice, adhering to established protocols.
  3. Maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR) with timely documentation of services rendered.
  4. Provide patient education and counseling, reinforcing information shared by healthcare providers.
  5. Manage triage for nurse visits and respond to patient inquiries while ensuring effective communication.
  6. Engage in training and educational initiatives as directed.
  7. Oversee inventory management and supply replenishment.
  8. Maintain organized and professional workspaces.
  9. Stay informed about Vaccines for Children processes.
  10. Handle after-hours nursing responsibilities.
  11. Communicate with patients in a respectful and professional manner.
  12. Document patient interactions in the EHR promptly.
  13. Notify the appropriate healthcare provider of patient communications.
  14. Utilize personal mobile devices for on-call duties.
  15. Complete administrative tasks as required.
  16. Adhere to the Clinical Policy Manual.
  17. Participate in quality assurance and improvement meetings as needed.
  18. Assist with data collection for management as necessary.
  19. Perform additional duties as assigned to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Essential Attributes:

  1. Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
  2. Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  3. Experience with both pediatric and adult patient care.
  4. Willingness to travel to various clinics as needed.

Professional Skills:

  • Proficient in using medical equipment such as ECG, PFT, and vital sign machines.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Meets continuing education requirements for licensure.

Licenses & Certifications:

  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent
  2. Graduate of an accredited RN program
  3. Current RN license in the State of Florida
  4. Preferred: Minimum of one year of RN experience in a primary care setting
  5. Current BLS Certification

Communication Skills:

  1. Ability to convey complex information clearly to patients and colleagues.

Physical and Emotional Demands:

  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable operating office equipment and managing patient documentation.
  • Exposure to potentially challenging patient interactions.
  • Adherence to safety protocols in clinical settings.
