Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement training programs for field service technicians
  • Coordinate the activities of subcontractors and employees
  • Oversee the completion of planning, scheduling, installation, billing, and warranty issues
  • Proactively communicate with customers, vendors, and subcontractors to implement plans and programs
  • Work cooperatively with other departments within the company
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress of operations
  • Responsible for P&L stated goals to track and control costs
  • Manage all installation and service requirements, including material purchasing and project scheduling
  • Cooperatively partner with the sales team to support the growth and profitability of the branch
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of work orders
  • Establish and analyze department-specific metrics and reports
  • Consistently report key information to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are attained
  • Assess financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability
  • Collaborate with human resources on the recruitment, selection, counseling, and evaluation of candidates and Team Members
  • Ensure that Employee evaluations and reviews are administered on time and in compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity regulations
  • Manage all technicians on call processes, calendar synchronization, and procedures
  • Continuously evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
Requirements
  • Seven to ten years industry experience within an operations supervisory/management role
  • Experience installing and servicing wet/dry chemical kitchen fire suppression systems
  • Demonstrated management/leadership abilities, including training, team building, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Capacity to proactively implement organizational and process change in response to business needs
  • Robust listening, negotiation, organizational, oral, and written communication skills
  • Literacy to read and comprehend financial statements, blueprints, contracts, and submittals
  • Ability to accurately forecast monthly/quarterly/annual business results using appropriate financial tools and processes
  • Capability to read and negotiate scope of work for service and construction contracts
  • Previous P&L management experience a plus
  • Must obtain and retain NICET Level II in Special Hazard Fire Suppression Systems or higher within 24 months of employment
  • Must obtain and retain ICC Pre-Engineered Kitchen and Industrial Fire Extinguishing Systems within 6 months of employment
  • Must obtain and retain ICC Engineered Fire Suppression Systems within 12 months of employment
  • General experience laying out, designing, and calculating wet/dry chemical fire suppression systems
  • Experience estimating and working with a major fire suppression system manufacturer
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal codes preferred to start but will be required to learn
  • Computer fluency in Windows, Excel, and other Microsoft products
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred, but not required
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of time depending on assigned geographic location
