About the Role
The Registered Nurse Team Lead serves as a key leader in our clinical operations, providing guidance and support to staff and department operations. This role requires strong clinical expertise, leadership principles, and the ability to mobilize the patient care team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimum patient outcomes.
- Utilize leadership principles to mobilize the patient care team and follow up on matters to ensure successful resolution.
- Assist in ensuring staff competence and contribute to staff performance development.
- Assist with and/or prepare work schedules for the department or work group.
- Conduct individual and/or team meetings with the work group to ensure effective two-way communication, keep the group informed, listen to needs and issues, resolve items brought to attention, and follow up with team members and management on issues.
- Promote a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of a school of professional nursing of an accredited college.
- Two years in clinical discipline preferred; one year in clinical discipline required with demonstrated clinical and leadership expertise.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
- Obtain CPR and as needed ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications.
- Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC).
