Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Manage and lead a crew of construction workers, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress.
  • Safety and Quality: Ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest level of quality.
  • Team Management: Ensure that all crew members comply with relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Communication: Communicate regularly with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with crew members and subcontractors to ensure that they are aware of project schedules and deadlines.
  • Training and Development: Train crew members on safety procedures and best practices.
  • Resource Management: Manage project resources, including materials and equipment, to ensure that they are used efficiently and effectively.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction projects.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or vocational training preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in construction, with experience in a leadership role.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Government Contracts: Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus.
