Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain schedules for recurring production.
  2. Coordinate production job streams, adjusting to departures from schedules, emergency, and unanticipated workloads.
  3. Coordinate the validation and distribution of production work to various user departments, separating and decollating reports, maintaining control figures, and taking necessary steps for corrections.
  4. Data control, including scheduling, logging, and validation of job data, input and output quality control, and establishing schedules for delivery and pick-up of data.
  5. Assist the helpdesk with level 1 support and troubleshooting.
  6. Apply understanding of Windows operating system, MS Office, and basic computer networking in execution of assignments.

Additional Duties:

  1. Communication with user departments on scheduling requirements, job status, production problems, and the like.
  2. Equipment operation, including communication control equipment, controllers, terminals, and related equipment; decollating equipment; and the set-up, operation, and control of related data processing equipment.
  3. Production support, including maintenance of the tape library, classifying and cataloging reels of tapes, issuing reels, and maintaining charge-out records.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

An Associate Degree from a recognized institution with specialization in data processing, or at least one year of experience in the operations department of a computer center in a computer operations-related job title, or a satisfactory combination of the foregoing education and experience.
