Position Overview: Line Cook

The Line Cook plays a crucial role in our kitchen, responsible for executing a variety of dishes with precision and creativity. This position requires a commitment to maintaining the high standards of quality and presentation that Momofuku is known for.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present menu items, ensuring consistency and quality from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and refine new dishes.
  • Enhance your culinary skills through ongoing training and practice.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas.
  • Support fellow team members and contribute to a positive kitchen environment.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in a culinary role or a degree in Culinary Arts.
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Preferred Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role within a high-volume restaurant.
  • Ability to work efficiently at various kitchen stations.
  • Experience in mentoring or training new kitchen staff.

Physical Requirements

  • This position involves standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing various physical tasks throughout the shift.
