Job Title: Registered Nurse, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the advancement of pediatric critical care.

About the Role:

The PICU is a 74-bed, blended acuity unit that serves critically ill children and their families. Our team works collaboratively to deliver innovative care using advanced technologies, including high-frequency ventilation devices, neurological monitoring devices, and ECMO. As a PICU nurse, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized care plans, gathering and analyzing data to inform the care team, and promoting excellent patient outcomes through evidence-based practices and safety procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver family-centered care guided by CHOP's Nursing Professional Practice Model.
  • Develop, evaluate, and revise patients' plans of care throughout their hospitalization.
  • Gather and analyze data to inform the care team and delegate tasks.
  • Promote excellent patient outcomes by adhering to evidence-based practices, nursing standards, and safety procedures.
  • Identify and address safety concerns or ethical dilemmas with unit leadership.
  • Develop effective partnerships with the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Adopt healthcare technology and clinical practice changes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain CEUs for nursing licensure and comply with annual nursing competencies and mandatory education.
Requirements:
  • Technical diploma in Nursing.
  • At least one (1) year RN experience.
  • Prior experience in pediatrics or area of specialty preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
