About the Role

Cenergistic is seeking a highly skilled Energy Conservation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing and driving our energy conservation program.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Energy Consumption Analysis: Identify energy consumption patterns, analyze data, and provide recommendations to Client leadership on energy conservation measures.
  2. Technology Utilization: Leverage the latest technology in energy consumption, utility usage, and energy management systems (EMS) data to drive program success.
  3. On-Site Audits: Conduct thorough on-site audits to identify areas for energy improvement.
  4. Utility Data Management: Manage and maintain all utility consumption data, ensuring accurate savings measurements.
  5. Client Communication: Meet with Client's Program Liaison monthly to report on program status and progress.
  6. Public Relations: Coordinate with internal and external Public Relations groups to promote Client's energy management program successes.
  7. Quarterly Reporting: Provide quarterly reports to the Board or Governing body on program status and success.
  8. Client Liaison: Cultivate and maintain open communication with Client leadership, facilities, maintenance, and custodial staff.
  9. Safety Reporting: Report any safety hazards observed to the Program Liaison.
  10. EMS Repairs: Coordinate with the maintenance director regarding repairs of energy management systems (EMS).
  11. Client Communication: Effectively communicate with Client staff to address any comfort issues.
  12. Performance Reporting: Complete timely reports comparing performance to the implementation plan.
  13. Professional Representation: Represent Cenergistic in a professional manner to the Client.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University, or equivalent experience.
  2. Work Experience: 2-3 years of work experience, or 6 years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  3. Skills: Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with above-average written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with a strong emphasis on Excel, smartphone applications, and handheld tablets.
  5. Commitment: Commit to irregular hours, including nights, weekends, early mornings, holidays, and summer.
  6. Driver's License: Maintain a valid driver's license and ability to drive to client locations.
Work Environment

The Energy Conservation Specialist will work in a variety of settings, including office and field environments. The employee will occasionally work in outside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, in high, precarious places, and be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in the office and moderate to loud in the field.

Physical Demands

The Energy Conservation Specialist will be required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee will be required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move objects up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
