POSITION OVERVIEW

The main objective of this role is to oversee comprehensive nursing care for residents. This includes engaging in resident and family education while providing leadership by collaborating to uphold professional nursing standards in a clinical environment, adhering to relevant federal, state, and local regulations, guidelines, policies, procedures, ethical standards, and resident rights as outlined in the employee handbook.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Valid nursing license in Ohio.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with universal precautions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills to cater to the needs of residents in the assigned area.
  • Understanding of aging principles and associated challenges.
  • Capability to assess resident data and interpret information to identify individual needs.
  • Deliver care as directed by policies and procedures within the scope of an LPN/RN license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role necessitates a full range of motion, including walking, lifting, bending, climbing, squatting, kneeling, twisting, sitting, and standing. The individual must be able to lift 50 pounds or more and perform lifts above shoulder level. Corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges are required. Excellent verbal communication skills are essential for executing daily responsibilities.

Note: This position may involve potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (HBV, HIV, etc.).
