Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct home visits and community engagements to mitigate concerns related to housing, abuse, neglect, and other obstacles affecting family stability.
  • Facilitate parenting skills development and psycho-educational sessions aimed at strengthening family bonds and promoting effective reunification strategies.
  • Provide real-time guidance and coaching to parents, enhancing their skills and understanding of trauma's impact on family dynamics.
  • Act as an advocate for families by setting achievable goals, documenting progress, and reporting any signs of potential abuse or neglect.
  • Testify in legal proceedings when necessary and offer transportation support as directed by referrals.
  • Engage in regular supervisory meetings to foster your professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant human services field such as Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or Special Education.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and current auto insurance.
  • Successful completion of fingerprinting and background checks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least six months of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with local agencies and community resources that support youth and families.
