Job Description
As a Teaching Excellence Specialist in English Language Instruction, you will be responsible for teaching classes designed to meet the needs of a special population of students who are identified as at-risk.
You will create individualized action plans to help each student achieve academic goals, develop and document instructional outcomes, and provide weekly academic progress reports to the program coordinator for tutorials.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Master's degree in English or a Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours of coursework in English.
- Teaching experience with at-risk students.
- Ability to use technology in the classrooms, including learning management systems.
- Working knowledge of learning differences and/or learning disabilities, and best practices in teaching underprepared students.
- Working knowledge of the Banner system.
