About the Role

This Virtual Speech Language Pathologist position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students in Mississippi.

As a remote-based Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations virtually to identify student needs and determine eligibility for speech services. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized therapy plans as part of students IEPs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough virtual assessments to identify student needs and determine eligibility for speech services.">
  • IEPs and Therapy Plans: Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.">
  • Therapy Sessions: Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students using online platforms.">
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Work with classroom teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the general education curriculum.">
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and document student progress regularly and provide timely reports and updates.">
  • Compliance and Professional Development: Ensure all services are compliant with state and federal regulations and stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology.">

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">
  • ">
  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.">
  • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) and Mississippi state licensure for speech-language pathology.">
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an SLP, preferably with experience in teletherapy or virtual settings.">
  • Proficiency in using online therapy platforms and comfort with technology in a virtual learning environment.">
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.">
  • Able to build rapport with students and staff in a virtual setting.">
  • Knowledge of Mississippi state regulations and guidelines for special education.">

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
