Position Overview:

The Private Client Tax Director at Forvis Mazars plays a pivotal role in delivering advanced tax compliance, consulting, and strategic planning services tailored for individuals, multi-generational families, fiduciaries, and other high-net-worth entities. This role requires a deep understanding of tax regulations and strategies pertinent to personal, partnership, trust, estate, gift, and wealth retention, as well as charitable organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering comprehensive tax compliance and advisory services to individuals, partnerships, trusts, estates, and private foundations.
  • Building and nurturing client relationships throughout the proposal process.
  • Engaging in networking initiatives to enhance business opportunities and strengthen client connections.
  • Maintaining expertise in client business or family structures to effectively address their concerns and challenges.
  • Overseeing, mentoring, and developing professional tax staff.
  • Reviewing and managing projects executed by tax associates and seniors.
  • Delegating tasks effectively while monitoring the performance of engagement teams.
  • Utilizing technology tools proficiently in daily tasks and demonstrating a commitment to enhancing work processes through technology.
  • Conducting thorough research on complex tax issues, applying insights to projects, and clearly communicating findings.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in public accounting, law firms, or trust departments.
  • A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Possession of a CPA license or J.D. degree with bar admission.
  • Experience in managing multiple client engagements effectively.
