We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Production Shop Lead. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can effectively deliver high-quality products that are produced cost-effectively, efficiently, and on-time, with a positive impact on the company's financial bottom line.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Managing the daily operations of the production plant and its employees
  • Understanding the company's product lines, equipment, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques
  • Ensuring quality assurance standards are met
  • Ensuring safety standards are upheld
  • Collaborating with sales staff to review designs, as defined by the company's owner
  • Maintaining factory equipment and company vehicles
  • Reviewing jobs for accuracy
  • Forecasting production requirements and maintaining necessary inventory levels
  • Resolving problems and providing customer service to clients

The ideal candidate will have prior supervisory experience (2-5 years), with hiring responsibilities, and experience in woodworking or cabinet making fields (32mm systems a plus). They will also have experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, they will be quality and safety conscious, and able to drive bottom-line results while maintaining a service-oriented approach.
