Job Summary

Orlando Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as an ECMO Specialist. This is a full-time, night shift position that requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer patient care in a high-acuity setting, utilizing advanced assessment and critical thinking skills to prioritize and manage complex patient needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized plans of care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Utilize advanced equipment and technology, including ECMO machines, to provide life-saving interventions and support patients with complex medical conditions.
  • Monitor and adjust patient care plans in response to changing patient conditions, demonstrating expertise in critical care nursing and ECMO management.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure clear understanding of patient needs and care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in critical care nursing and ECMO.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with a current RN license in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in critical care nursing, with a strong focus on ECMO management and patient care.
  • Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification and ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC certifications as required by the unit/department.
  • ECMO experience and knowledge of ECMO management principles and practices.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage complex patient needs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
