About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscape Leadman to join our team at BrightView Landscapes. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of our landscape and irrigation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Safety
    • Ensure all employees attend weekly tailgate meetings to review safety protocols and discuss potential hazards.
    • Conduct regular safety checks to ensure employees are operating safely at all times.
    • Report any reckless or dangerous activities to the Job Superintendent and notify the Safety Office of any accidents.
  • Operations and Maintenance
    • Use hand and power tools to perform a wide range of landscape and irrigation duties, including laying sod, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, and installing sprinklers.
    • Maintain a hazardous communication folder and ensure all relevant forms are up to date.
  • Asset Protection and Compliance
    • Safeguard company assets from theft and misuse.
    • Ensure segregation of duties to minimize fraud.
    • Comply with business ethics, applicable laws, and regulations.
    • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in landscape operations.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards.
  • Ability to lead and direct a crew of 2-4 people.
  • Practice workplace safety.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
  • Ability to work in extreme conditions, including temperatures above 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. and load/unload burlaps with plant cuttings onto a trailer.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the day.
