Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at PGT Innovations. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing Anlin and Monte Verde products, as well as communicating with homeowners, dealers, and District Managers on the status of repairs and schedule times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain repair schedules with the Service Schedule Planner and homeowners.
  • Review and investigate warranty claims on Anlin and Monte Verde products.
  • Repair Anlin and Monte Verde products.
  • Communicate with homeowners, dealers, and District Managers on repair order status.
  • Define and communicate in writing the repair needs of each claim for Order Entry.
  • Photograph and email product issues where descriptions may not be sufficient.
  • Update and maintain Reason Codes and Order Activity notes on complete or closed repair orders.
Requirements
  • Training will be provided to ensure qualifications are met.
  • Able to operate an iPhone and iPad, including familiarity with Internet navigation, GPS, and mapping systems.
  • Ability to touch type accurately.
  • Ability to maintain paper and electronic files and records in an organized fashion.
  • Ability to write activity notes and closing out orders in the Freidman System.
  • Knowledge of Anlin warranty conditions, terms, and coverage.
  • Knowledge of MV warranty conditions, terms, and coverage.
  • Have complete knowledge of Anlin and Monte Verde products by series, profile, shape, minimums/maximums, model operations, and color.
  • Able to read a tape measure to the 1/16.
  • Able to read and write measurements in both fractional and decimal form to the 1/16.
  • Able to add/subtract measurements to the 1/16.
  • Able to communicate effectively and tactfully with those contacted in the course of work, both in writing and oral form.
  • Able to identify and fix minor installation issues.
  • Able to write an inspect report.
  • Able to book travel arrangements as needed.
  • Several years of experience in repair, construction, window installation, or similar fields.
  • One year experience in manufacturing production.
  • Bilingual-English/Spanish.
  • Current driver's license and clean DMV record.
