Childcare Program Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY
The Childcare Program Supervisor is responsible for delivering a nurturing and developmentally suitable environment for children. This role involves engaging in activities alongside children and staff, fostering a respectful atmosphere. The Supervisor will also provide support to front desk operations as necessary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure confidentiality of all participants and adhere to Federal Regulations regarding records.
- Participate in staff meetings to address program progress and family concerns.
- Complete required training and orientation, applying learned concepts to the program.
- Attend supervision meetings as directed by the Clinic Director.
- Understand and implement policies and procedures effectively.
- Utilize knowledge of educational strategies and developmentally appropriate practices to support children's growth.
- Apply understanding of infant care, child psychology, and early childhood development.
- Employ conflict resolution skills and effective communication in various situations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare area when children are not present.
- Design and execute engaging activities for children, including crafts, storytelling, and music.
- Collaborate with the Office Manager to ensure an organized daily childcare schedule.
- Oversee the health and safety standards of the childcare environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned and provide assistance to other programs as needed.
- Exhibit a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Manage supplies and equipment, notifying the Clinic Director of any needs.
- Operate the main switchboard, managing calls and assisting with outgoing communications.
- Act as the backup receptionist, welcoming and directing visitors and staff appropriately.
- Collect client identification and insurance information for records.
- Serve as the primary backup for message taking and distribution for clinic staff.
- Support administrative tasks such as faxing, documentation preparation, and meeting organization.
- Direct calls to appropriate locations or agencies as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in childcare settings.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.
- Demonstrated flexibility, patience, and sensitivity to the needs of participants.
- Commitment to the mission of Red Rock Behavioral Health Services.
- Preferred experience in a mental health environment.
