RN PreOp PACU Specialist

As a Perioperative Registered Nurse at SCA Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction. This position requires a skilled and compassionate nurse who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess patients preoperative and postoperative status, monitoring their cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and hemodynamic stability.
Develop and implement individualized perianesthesia plans of care, prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care, from admission to discharge.
Provide education to patients and their families on postoperative care, medication management, and wound management.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and policies.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current state license to practice.
One year of experience in preoperative or PACU nursing, with a strong background in medical-surgical nursing.
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with successful completion within 90 days of employment.
