This pivotal role requires a candidate with a robust background in collections, financial planning, and the administration of financial aid. The ideal individual will have experience in cultivating and managing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a dedicated team of financial service professionals, ensuring collaboration and excellence in performance.
  • Continuously seek out and recruit talented individuals to maintain a strong workforce.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Collections Report to monitor student accounts each term.
  • Regularly update the Student Finance Manual to reflect current practices and policies.
  • Enhance the skills and capabilities of the Student Finance team through ongoing training and constructive feedback.
  • Provide precise cash flow and collections forecasts to senior management and the accounting department.
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with financial aid service providers and other vendors.
  • Generate a timely Revenue Recognition report at the beginning of each month.
  • Ensure the accurate and prompt processing of Federal Financial Aid, aiming for a 95% collection rate within 30 days of the semester start.
  • Facilitate a welcoming environment to maximize student engagement and conversion rates.
  • Coordinate internal audits and serve as the primary contact for external audit teams.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher.
  • Proven experience with state and federal financial aid processes.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
