About the Role

We are seeking an experienced External Enforcement Specialist to join our Special Projects and Investigations team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth investigations and analyses to identify and prevent abuse for our customers, sellers, and brand owners worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct risk analyses using complex data sets and use data and/or technical skills to understand complex abuse and fraud schemes
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to assess abuse and fraud and develop effective solutions
  • Write comprehensive reports and documents to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Own partnerships with legal stakeholders to define strategy and drive enforcement actions
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to drive real-world impact and disrupt ecosystems
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience conducting intelligence, counter-intelligence, risk/law enforcement investigations and/or analysis, or other roles in the security industry
  • Proficient with deriving insights from big data using SQL
  • High level of integrity and discretion to handle confidential information
  • Experience in producing effective documents to stakeholders on investigative findings
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a natural tendency to use data in decision-making and prioritization
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills using hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience defining requirements, facilitating progress and identifying blockers
  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience in a related discipline/field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations
  • Experience collaborating across varied stakeholders and navigating differing objectives while maintaining a focus on important tasks and preserving our customer trust
  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior management
  • Experience working with global stakeholders
  • Experience working in e-commerce organizations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate security and business risk to a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences
