As a Manufacturing Inspector II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products by performing in-process and finished product inspections. This position requires minimal supervision and involves working independently to identify and resolve quality issues.
Key Responsibilities- Perform visual, functional, and dimensional testing using appropriate instruments to ensure specifications are met.
- Inspect lot numbers, expiration dates, product code numbers, labels, stamps, etc., to ensure compliance with manufacturing orders and specifications.
- Responsible for product release to sterilization and follow-up on rejections to isolate the rejected product and problem-solve.
- May provide assistance to Assemblers, Manufacturing Inspector I, and Operators, and maintain a clean work area.
- May include training of other employees and participating in project performance team meetings to provide ideas, methods, or processes for unit/company performance improvement.
This position requires gowning procedures for a controlled environment and working around high-speed machinery, which requires close attention to safety to prevent physical entanglement and product jams, etc. May at times require the use of hearing protection depending on noise level.
Requirements- Conscious of quality with the ability to recognize deviations from established standards.
- Computer experience, mathematical ability (algebra level), and a background in chemistry, methodology, lab inspection, QC experience, etc., preferred.
- Communication skills both verbal and written.
- Typically requires exacting visual attention to job being performed.
- Typically requires frequent lifting up to 20 lbs. and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Requires manual dexterity/hand-eye coordination with 20/20, equivalent, or corrective vision.
- May require some walking with a high percentage of time spent sitting.
Typically requires a high school diploma with an A.A. degree in related science preferred.
