We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our Endocrinology team at Emory Healthcare. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient care and observation duties under the direction of a licensed provider, RN, or LPN.
- Assist with routine and complex medical assistant clinical duties, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and performing diagnostic tests.
- Collect and process patient specimens, maintain examination rooms, and ensure a clean and healthy environment.
- Assist with emergency situations as directed by a licensed provider, RN, or LPN.
- Perform administrative duties, including patient check-in/out, responding to patient requests, and maintaining patient records.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Current AHA BLS certification is required for hire and must be maintained throughout employment.
- Must successfully complete all medical assistant orientation and training requirements, including certification and annual skills competency.
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) is required.
