We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Histology Technician to join our team at Samaritan Medical Center. As a Histology Technician, you will be responsible for processing, embedding, cutting, and staining of surgical and autopsy tissue, as well as preparing and staining cytopathology specimens.
Key Responsibilities- Process and prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination, including embedding, cutting, and staining.
- Prepare and stain cytopathology specimens according to established policies and procedures.
- Manage patient tissue samples, including documentation and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
- Perform specialized techniques required for diagnostic purposes.
- Participate in the Quality Assurance program to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or HTL certification from a recognized agency.
- Histotechnician AAS NY State license required.
- Days (start times are either 5:30a or 6a)
