Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care and support under the supervision of a physician or physician assistant
- Perform phlebotomy, point of care testing, and assist with minor procedures
- Process lab specimens, operate medical equipment, and maintain patient records
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Administer medications and maintain accurate patient information
Requirements
- Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
- Medical terminology, communication skills, and basic computer knowledge required
