We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Technician to join our team at Northwestern Medicine. As a Telemetry Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care by monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms.
Key Responsibilities- Attach electrode lead lines to patients' bodies to obtain accurate ECG readings
- Prepare patients for telemetry monitoring to ensure valid results
- Obtain and document ECG readings as directed by physicians
- Continuously monitor multiple monitors for significant arrhythmias and signs of patient distress
- Edit and forward results to attending physicians for analysis and interpretation
- Maintain ECG equipment and supplies
- High School diploma
- Successful completion of ECG interpretation coursework
- CPR - Basic Life Support certification
