At Northwestern Medicine, we are seeking a skilled Echocardiography Technician to join our team in Huntley Cardiology. As an Echo Tech II, you will play a critical role in performing inpatient and outpatient echocardiography procedures, assisting with stress echocardiography and transesophageal echo procedures, and contributing to the overall success of our department.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform adult 2-D, M-Mode, pulsed, continuous, and color doppler echocardiograms per policy and procedure.
  • Provide timely call coverage per department standard per policy and procedure.
  • Perform adult stress echo per policy and procedure.
  • Perform adult transesophageal echo per policy and procedure.
  • Communicate clinical information accurately and effectively.
  • Review physician orders and perform procedures accordingly.
  • Assure all work is completed in Syngo and EPIC.
  • Check images with cardiologist as needed.
  • Participate in Lab ICAEL accreditation activities.
  • Precept sonographer interns.
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities.
  • Complete all required and mandatory learning on time.
Qualifications:
  • 1 year of experience in hospital-based Doppler echocardiography, transesophageal, and transesophageal echocardiography.
  • Must demonstrate imaging skills.
  • Associate's degree with one year relevant experience.
  • Active ARDMS or CCI Echo registry status.
  • Graduate from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program.
  • Computer application aptitude.
  • BLS Certified.
