As a Catering Events Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the preparation and setup for events on campus, ensuring that all events are successful and meet the highest standards of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff in the absence of a catering event coordinator to ensure events are successful.
  • Execute all components of the Banquet Event Order (BEO) professionally and successfully.
  • Prepare silverware and napkins, and perform general stockroom duties.
  • Provide food and beverage service for buffets, break services, receptions, and plated meals.
  • Assist in other locations as necessary to ensure the needs of NC State Dining are met.

Requirements:

  • Minimum high school graduate.
  • Previous food service experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in catering.
  • Previous supervisory experience.

Working Conditions:

This is an hourly position with a 10-11 month assignment with a mandatory 32-day break at the end of 11 months. The position requires standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, twisting, pulling, and pushing. The ability to work in extremely hot and cold conditions is also required.
