We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Catering Event Supervisor to join our team at North Carolina State University. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of events across campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff in the absence of a catering event coordinator to ensure events run smoothly.
  • Execute all components of the Banquet Event Order (BEO) with professionalism and precision.
  • Prepare silverware and napkins, and perform general stockroom duties.
  • Provide exceptional food and beverage service for buffets, break services, receptions, and plated meals.
  • Assist in other locations as needed to meet the business needs of NC State Dining.
Requirements and Preferences
  • Minimum high school graduate.
  • Previous food service experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to remain professional under pressure.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Working Conditions

This is an hourly position with a 10-11 month assignment, with a mandatory 32-day break at the end of 11 months. The position requires standing for long periods, walking, bending, twisting, pulling, and pushing, as well as working in extremely hot and cold conditions.
