Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer Advisor to join our team in Bossier City, LA. As a Software Developer Advisor at GDIT, you will play a key role in delivering solutions to complex problems and tailoring software systems to meet the unique needs of our clients.

You will assist in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from planning and design to testing and debugging. Your expertise will be invaluable in creating software systems that meet business needs and provide optimal documentation and future maintenance.

In this role, you will also have the opportunity to coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals, helping them develop their skills and advance in their careers.


Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience;
  • At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on system design, agile methodologies, and technical leadership;
  • Strong technical skills in programming languages such as C, C++, Java Script, and Linux operating systems;
  • Experience with GitLab and agile project management tools;
  • Active Secret clearance and US Citizenship.
