Flight Paramedic

Job Summary:

The Flight Paramedic plays a vital role in extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ by providing critical care to patients in the air medical environment. This position requires a high degree of independence and involves working in challenging out-of-hospital environments and at regional health care facilities. The Flight Paramedic is responsible for coordinating transport operations and clinical care with the Flight Nurse and Pilot crew members, adhering to established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide critical care to patients in the air medical environment
* Coordinate transport operations and clinical care with the Flight Nurse and Pilot crew members
* Adhere to established policies and procedures
* Interact with a wide range of healthcare and public safety professionals in stressful situations

Requirements:

* Minimum of three years of experience working in a moderate to high-volume ALS setting
* Current paramedic certification by the State of Texas
* National Registry Paramedic certification strongly preferred
* BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
* ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
* Certification in a transport-specific critical care board certification (C-NPT, FP-C or CCP-C) is strongly preferred
