Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the safe and effective management of a long-term care patient unit and/or nursing department shift.
  • Organize and direct the activities of assigned personnel while ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing nursing practices in the performance of assigned responsibilities.
  • Administer and document medications in accordance with physician directives and established facility protocols.
  • Monitor and record patients' vital signs and collect laboratory samples as instructed.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must:
  • Hold a valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the Georgia State Nursing Board.
  • Adopt the principles, values, and beliefs of the organization.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to foster effective working relationships with patients, family members, department leaders, and colleagues.
