Job Summary:

The LPN will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Nurse Manager and will be responsible for providing care for patients. This includes assessing and assisting with managing patient needs, performing routine nursing procedures, and meeting established productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assesses and assists with managing patient needs following physician orders with RN oversight and utilization of nursing process
  • Performs routine nursing procedures to meet the needs of patients under the supervision of RN
  • Meets established productivity standards
  • Provides relationship-based patient-centered care that is consistent with population-specific characteristics in a culturally sensitive manner
  • Coordinates care and services with RN and other team members
  • Serves as patient educator to foster self-care or caregiver support for the patient
Requirements:
  • Practical Nursing Diploma Required
  • Previous healthcare experience Preferred
  • Experience in oncology, ambulatory, outpatient setting Preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Positive leadership, problem-solving skills, strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong assessment and clinical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills required
License and Certification:
  • Lic Practical Nurse Required
  • Basic Life Support Required
  • BLS - Instructor Required
  • BLS - Provisional Required
