Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Cypress Care Center. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting a safe and supportive environment, and working collaboratively with our healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care to residents, including grooming, bathing, dressing, and oral care.
  • Assist with ambulation and transfer of residents, utilizing assistive devices and body mechanics.
  • Record resident vital signs, weights, and measurements, as well as intake and output, food consumption, and other information as assigned.
  • Turn and position residents regularly, and observe for changes in condition, reporting to the Charge Nurse as needed.
  • Participate in collecting data for the MDS and plan of care, providing input to the nurses for development of the plan.
  • Prepare residents for meals, transport to the dining room, and assist with feeding as needed.
  • Keep accurate records of food intake and output, and be alert for proper ventilation, temperature, light, and noise control.
  • Promptly answer call lights and assist with other resident needs.
Requirements:
  • Current Nursing Assistant certification from the state of Florida.
  • Current/active CPR certification, preferred.
  • At least one year of Skilled Nursing experience, preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Highest level of professionalism, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
  • Customer service-oriented, with the ability to work well under pressure.
