Nurse Practitioner

ChristianaCare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our 6 South Stepdown team at Wilmington Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with hospitalists, specialty consultants, and transitional nursing staff.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients' physical and emotional status, past health history, health practices, and their knowledge of their disease and its treatment.
- Manage a team of 3 to 4 medical or surgical patients per shift and work with the multidisciplinary team to achieve realistic healthcare goals for the patient and their family.
- Plan nursing care to promote patient wellness and provide patients and their families with information related to their disease process and patient education.
- Closely monitor patients, manage emergencies, and provide ongoing support and education to the patient and their family.
- BSN required; commitment to obtaining BSN within three years from date of hire can be considered with relevant experience.
- Registered Nurse with 2 years of experience; telemetry experience a plus.
- BLS required; ACLS preferred, with a commitment to obtaining ACLS within 6 months of hire.
- Progressive Care or Gerontology Certification preferred.
